The American Trucking Associations (ATA) is a federation with state trucking association affiliates in all 50 states. It represents every sector of the trucking industry, from less-than-truckload and truckload carriers to agriculture and livestock haulers and auto haulers, and from large motor carriers to small operations. ATA develops and advocates research-based policies on highway safety, security, environmental sustainability and profitability, educates policymakers about trucking's role in the economy, and provides members with subject matter experts and tools through its policy committees, councils and affiliated conferences.
