The National Aquaculture Association is a national trade association representing the U.S. aquaculture community. Aquaculture is the production of marine and freshwater organisms under controlled conditions; U.S. aquaculture farmers produce some 1,500 different aquatic species for many purposes using a variety of systems and methods. The association presents aquaculture as agriculture and provides information on the economic role of aquaculture farms in rural inland and coastal communities.
